Well, I can't believe how fast time goes by. I can't believe I haven't been keeping up to date with this.
Cooper is less than a month away from his first birthday and I can't believe it! He's gotten so big. We are assuming he's between 45-50 lbs. He hasn't grown much in the last few months. He's a decent sized dog. And so loyal.
He always has to be near us. If I'm home alone, he won't leave my side. He follows me everywhere! If I'm in the shower he's laying patiently next to the door until I open it. Then he lays in the doorway while I get ready.
He LOVES to run. If he gets out of the house before we can catch him he runs laps around the house. He does pretty well with not running off, I just wish he listened a little better. He will be getting neutered in a few weeks. That will hopefully help with his aggression and territorial issues.
All in all he's a really good dog. He's definitely a member of our family and we love him dearly.
Little Bit has adjusted well to living with us. She enjoys going back to Essex and visiting, but I think she's happy with us. We switched dog food and she's eating better now. She LOVES going for walks around the lake, so we try to take them almost every day.
We are blessed with two incredibly adorable, and [for the most part] well behaved dogs. We love them so much!

Time Flies By
Whoa! I knew I wouldn't be good at keeping up-to-date with this. Well...Mr Cooper is now a few days shy of turning 6 months old. SIX MONTHS!!! I can hardly believe it. Well, it appears as though we have some catching up to do so let's begin with Cooper's first Christmas.
He loved it! Chris and I brought him back to Essex with us to stay at my parents house. He did pretty well with the other two dogs there, Gracie and Little Bit. The problem is that Grace is a grumpy old lady and she didn't want to play the way Cooper did. He loved my brother Tanner. We were there for about a week, and those two became good buds!
At that time, he was bigger than Gracie, but not by much. It was crazy because when we brought him back for Thanksgiving, he was bigger than Little Bit but smaller than Gracie. Anyway, on Christmas day, he opened his own gifts and everything. He was so cute.
The day after we got back from Christmas break, Cooper had another vet appointment. They didn't weigh him, but they gave him his last wormer, his last bit of shots and even his Rabies shot, even though it was a month early.
Now, fast forward to today. Cooper weighs about 40 pounds and he's getting so big so fast! He will be getting neutered in a couple weeks, so that should be good times :P! Last week, though he gave his momma a heart attack. He had eaten a large strand of ribbon and I waited and waited for it to pass. I had read horror stories online of dogs eating ribbon and passing away. So we took him to the vet. They said not to worry since he hadn't been acting up. But he had a wee bit of a fever so the vet gave him an antibiotic.
Now, Chris and I had been talking about getting him a sister to play with. Well, God works in mysterious ways. The week before Valentine's day my parents decided they no longer wanted to keep my dog Little Bit. She is a Yorkie-Chihuahua mix. Cute as a button. Anyway we agreed to take her and we've had her for a little over a month now. At first we were worried because she wasn't really doing anything--eating, playing, even leaving the kennel. But now it's been about a month and she's doing incredibly well! We took them both for a long walk today, and they loved it! I think they will get along just fine!
Well, sorry for the length of this, but I needed to get caught up. Hopefully I will be more up-to-date with this from now on!
